| Coffee Cake
2/3 cup margarine
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp powdered milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup buttermilk
Topping:
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
Cream together margarine and sugars. Add beaten eggs and buttermilk. Mix together well the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, powdered milk and cinnamon. Blend dry ingredients into batter until all is well mixed and creamy.
Pour into a well greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle evenly over batter. Refrigerate, covered, overnight. Remove cover and bake 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. |
