| Fruit Cocktail Cake #1
1 egg
1 can fruit cocktail, undrained
1 cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup plus 2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
Beat egg. Add fruit cocktail and mix well. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Pour into 8 or 9-inch square pan. Sprinkle top with ½ cup brown sugar and ½ cup chopped nuts. Don’t be alarmed when cake appears to fall.
Do not cut cake until cool, as it tends to get gooey if you do. |
